Matters of the Heart II
This weekend will involve me going to her place, shoveling out the snow in front of her garage in which the car is stored...then take it for a spin (if it starts) then add fuel stabilizer and overinflate the tires a bit. When thats all done, i will throw the intelligent charger i got today for 35 bucks on sale (SCORE) if i would have bought it yesterday, it would have been 7o bucks...pricks.
Anyways, its going to be difficult seeing her again, for obvious reasons... the human heart is a magnificent thing. How attatched the heart can be connected to another, not only when things are good...but even when the brain suggests it knows better. Its the brain that gets in the way, which is why its so difficult to love another UNCONDITIONALLY.... Unlike the brain, the heart is forgiving, as we should all be. I believe deep down, that we are all supposed to be connected by that bond, its only through fear, hurt and rejection that we dont allow ourselves to open our hearts to many. The irony, its the people closest to you that can hurt you the most...which is why many keep their heart at a distance.
The greatest people to ever walk this planet were the ones that werent afraid to love...so much so, that they embraced MANKIND. From Martin Luther King Jr to Ghandi - Mother Teresa to Jesus Christ himself.
I guess ill sum this up with this. Try and love with an open heart...with everyone. The bum on the street, the person who cuts you off in traffic, the person working 2 buildings over. Show compassion, empathy and kindness to all those you encounter.
David.
