EARTH HOUR
that brings me to EARTH hour, global warming and our overall consumption of natural resources. earth hour was this past saturday and im hoping that many participated, we have one earth...we should treat her well. I lit some candles, sat around and actually TALKED WITH SOMEONE for an extended period of time:) it seems that we are usually so "plugged in" we dont take advantage of good ole face to face conversation.
the savings/impact of earth hour...when sydney aust. led the charge last year, the one hour of awareness was the equivalent of taking 45ooo cars off the roads for an hour! consumption was down 1o% ... not bad, who am i kidding...thats GREAT!
The numbers for OTTAWA, down 4%... I kinda find that pathetic, but its a start and the nations capital got on board late in the game. But if that number didnt rise considerably, i would be extremely disappointed...we are a world leader, which means we should lead by example.
Just my opinion, that...and im RIGHT, like BIG MOUTH always is.
