To tell the truth, thats the name of the gameshow clip youre about to watch.... you sit in a chair while hooked up to a polygraph. The game is easy, you tell the truth, you win cash...you lie, you lose it all. Of course, you do this in front of a panel of family, friends and loved ones.

This show makes me sick really, only because it shines a massive spotlight on how disgusting a people we can be. Now some may say (regarding this clip) that it only brought to surface what was already there...true. The sad part is, it took MONEY and GREED as the means and motivation to face it.

Then again, I will try and focus on the positive on this clip...I would usually have a field day with a piece like this. I want you to pay close attention to the husband after the game is done. He is kind and compassionate...even tho he has absolutely no reason to be.

Now, is he a fu@king doormat...ABSOLUTELY, but you have to admire his resolve.

People like this chick, get whats coming to them sooner or later down the road...she just wasnt anticipating THIS soon. and from what i can gather from this clip is that the road she is travelling just changed from a freeway, to a long, bumpy, country road.

O.K I cant take it anymore...what a dumb fu@king bi@tch. There, I feel much better now :)

Now the one thing i rarely do is talk about personal life like going on dates, who I am seeing and so forth...I generally keep that kinda stuff pretty quiet.

BUT....
(you knew that was coming)

I recently encountered a scenario, a specific person who will go by the name of sweetcheeks in this particular blog. This is someone that im getting to know, we havent "banged" or anything like that, its been a clothes on affair...unfortunately LoL. Moving on...

Genearlly, i like to know where people are coming from...two reasons, everyone likes to know where they stand. Secondly, ive done a lot of personality alteration in the recent months...a lot of positive reading and generally, I think im a better person now then i have ever been. That makes things more interesting for me, to see how people view me now, opposed to in the past.
I asked her this question,

"what do you like about me anyways..."

She responds with this, "you"... I give her an akward look, squint my eyes a tad and say..."you, thats it...you? There has to be something?!" I dug a lil more, eventually to stop myself. Something had just happend that i wouldnt have identified a few months back. I wasnt happy with YOU, I wanted to hear a bunch of GREAT things, when YOU (standing alone) was a wonderful thing. She liked me for me, didnt overevaluate it, judge it... just let it be. How could I critisize that, or look for anymore from a person...

It was simple, straight forward and so RIGHT IN MY FACE that i almost squashed the comment (which is something many of us do, our need for vindication) instead of taking a step back and accepting what she had to say. In doing so, realizing that it was pretty much exactly what i wanted to hear and about the nicest thing she could have said.

Living Life = Learning

I’ve been on a mini vacation the last lil bit, hence the lack of blogage. It was nice to have a few days off, spend some time with mommy and get out with some friends here and there as well. I haven’t spent enough time with the people I care about lately, and its something I tried to address this weekend.

I enjoy being “home”, I love being able to kiss my mother everyday and tell her that I love her. All the small things, like the genuine and absolute joy it gives me, to make her smile. You know, all the things you “miss”…but never really elaborate on.

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “you never stop learning”…and its true. Everyone knows this, I think the saying should be changed to “acknowledge that you never stop learning”, because its one thing to learn something new, another to rationalize that you have. Its about breaking patterns really, instead of just missing my mom…to realize WHY I miss her instead of just leaving it to generalizations.

Quick story. On my drive into town I’m almost always picking up a Timmies half way. All this winter I have been spilling coffee on the trim of the bottom of my jacket, where it just happens to be WHITE. I can’t tell you how many times I have spilled java on this jacket! Recently I have tucked the trim under my jacket when I get the oh so sweet JAVA BEAN…today when I was driving in, I spilled my coffee AGAIN! Nothing to worry though, because this time…it landed on the bottom of my jacket…and not the white trim underneath.

I win, today…coffee is still kicking my ass 1oo to 1 LoL. The point being, I learned….and acknowledged when I did.

Tina Turner Rules!

She truly does, proving it once again at the Grammy's last night. This lady / machine is 69 years young and still kicking ass! She performed Proud Mary with Beyonce who could barely keep up with the Legendary Turner. Beyonce was good, she held her own with the dance steps and added some real flare to the performance, but when it came to the vocals, only Tina Turner can do Tina Turner :)

Moving forward...

sounds simple.   moving forward.  momentum, acceleration, progress, etc.... yet its one of the hardest things to accomplish in life.  when most people are moving forward, in thought for instance...its often negative, something they have to do, something they cant forget to do, a deadline...you get my point.  Its hard to get a raise, promotion, possibly a kind word back from someone you admire...like a parent, best friend or loved one. 

Its hard to make the first move, whether it be a first kiss, deciding the right time to hold out your hand the first time on a date or the first time your eyes connect with that special person you care about without getting that urge to look away.

 

All this moving forward and so few take the time to glance back.  Even when driving thru the fast lane of life, its important to look over your shoulder from time to time to make sure you don't end up in a ditch :)

 

I have always said the reason why we have memories is because if we didn't everyone would off themselves, because life can be absolutely fu@king miserable and we need those positive memories to keep on moving forward.   Life can be lousy sometimes, no doubt...and you are allowed to get upset, cry, yell into your pillow and wonder why from time to time...but leave it there.  Your dog dies, that sucks...but think of the wonderful years you had with your furry friend.  Fail a test, take it as an opportunity to learn MORE.   Dye your hair the wrong colour....well, you're kinda screwed there LoL...just have a smile about it, the hair will grow out, u can dye it again...worst case scenario, u can move forward off the top of a building.

 

Unlike the usual BIG MOUTH, I want to take a moment to wish you HAPPINESS... just this once.  Feels nice huh.

another day, another blog...part II.

Just another one of those days where I churn out a blog for no specific reason. I'll just jump on my compose screen and see what I come up with...knowing full well, that today...im going to come up with absolutely nothing.

Ive been kinda tired lately, stayed up last night and cleaned my apartment for whatever reason LoL. Im not talking about up late, around midnight...im cleaning my house at two oclock in the morning. Scrubbing the bathtub, toilet and sink...doing the dishes and gathering trash. I even cleaned out the cupboards under the sink, and that brings me to a small problem im having...small, as in a mouse, or mice.

There was a lot of lil mouse droppings scattered - gross. I dont want to kill the lil fu@ker so I decided to give it a real good cleaning and simply keep my BEER bottles under the sink and take EVERYTHING else out, hoping that the mouse isnt an alcoholic :) If the problem persists, i will simply burn down the apartment LoL!
